Purchase your paint prior to the workshop OR I will supply each student with enough to complete the workshop for $5.00 per student. The colors that we will be using the most of are below. The best prices that I have found are with Dick Blick and they can be found and ordered online at www.dickblick.com. Dick Blicks prices are very, very good.

Painting surface, I paint on masonite coated with gesso, then sanded. The boards are available commercially. Gesso coated hardboards 8x10 or gessobord 8x10. Both are available through Dick Blick. You will need 3 panels and the order numbers at Dick Blick are as follows;

Brushes, bring your own and we will also need the following smaller technique brushes.

Loew Cornell Taklon Rake, these brushes come in sizes from 1/8 inch up and are the most expensive brushes you will need for this workshop. homecraftexpress.com
1/4 inch rake - $7.43

Palette;
I use an old cool whip container, which will do for you or bring 2 plain white styrofoam plates. The good thing about the cool whip container is that you can keep your paints from drying out over night.
You will also need :
plain white paper towels
atomizer to keep your pallette moist
ceramic palettes are great-get one of these little ones, you will like it for mixing colors. They look like a flower make sure they are ceramic

Buying equipment in person; The only supplier that I know of for Jo Sonja Paints in this area is Pearl Paint Company in Tampa. They are on Hillsborough. The last time I was there the selection of Jo Sonja paints was way down. As for brushes, they are loaded and they sell clayboard, gessoboard, and even another brand of board.
