MATERIAL LIST FOR KOURY WORKSHOPS:

Options I, II, or III:

I) Kit available for $85 which includes: a 75 ml tube of each color listed below, a Loew Cornell ultra round series 7020 brush, a 1/2 rake series 7120 brush, a 1/4 rake series 7120 brush, a porcelain mixing tray, atomizer
In addition we have prepared boards for $1.25 each
Kits do not include the more common brushes listed below #10/0, #0, #1,#2,#3, paper towels, mister, paint palette storage container.

II) I will supply each student with enough to complete the workshop for $10.00 per student. You supply the rest of the materials. The colors that we will be using the most of are below. The best prices that I have found online are at www.dickblick.com , ASW.com and homecraftexpress.com

III) Purchase your painting supplies prior to the workshop

Painting surface, I paint on masonite coated with gesso, then sanded. The boards are available commercially. Gesso coated hardboards 8x10 or gessobord 8x10. Both are available through Dick Blick. You will need 3 panels and the order numbers at Dick Blick are as follows;

Painting surface:
3-gessoed hardboard panels-Cat#07003-1002, 8x10
gessobord-cat#14911-1002, 3 pack sampler, 8x10
OR
I can supply odd sized boards for $1.25 each

Brushes, bring your own and we will also need the following smaller technique brushes.
I use Loew Cornell brushes Golden Taklon (series 7000), or Loew Cornell White Nylon Rounds- Series 795

Plus 1 Loew Cornell Ultra Round #2 series 7020

Loew Cornell Taklon Rake, these brushes come in sizes from 1/8 inch up and are the most expensive brushes you will need for this workshop. homecraftexpress.com

1/4 inch rake
1/2 inch rake if you want to do fur

Palette;
I use an old cool whip container, which will do for you or bring 2 plain white styrofoam plates. The good thing about the cool whip container is that you can keep your paints from drying out over night.

You will also need :
plain white paper towels
atomizer to keep your pallette moist

ceramic palettes are great-get one of these little ones, you will like it for mixing colors. They look like a flower make sure they are ceramic
