Daisy

I really enjoy painting the transparency of insect wings, and bees really present a challenge. In Daisy the bee seemed perfect for the white flowers. The repetitive color of the bee’s body and the center of the flowers move the viewers eye around the painting. Finally the shadow the bee casts really deepens the painting.
