Great Light, Great Egret I

This and its partner “Great Light, Great Egret II” are about amazing, wonderful light. I set out to paint white birds and use very little white, preferring Blues, violets, purples, raw sienna, fawn, all the while balancing cool colors with warm. Paintings ultimately are about light and how it’s portrayed, I am very tickled how these two turned out!
