I absolutely love getting lost in a square foot of earth! I also really like this viewing angle and it totally lends itself to ground shots! The swallowtail has stopped here to retrieve much needed minerals from the wet earth while surrounded by rocks and beautiful fallen leaves. He is not alone in this piece, there are Carpenter Ants and a wandering Searcher Beetle which are also beautiful. Take your time and drink in the textures, colors and richness of a square foot of earth!
