Royal Terns are so elegant; they are also incredible fliers. They flock in large groups on beaches and fuss at each other continually, while remaining the very example of elegance! The fussy behavior is the basis for this painting and highlites how my paintings are conceived. Watching wildlife opens doors to behaviors and habits that the various critters exhibit, these lead to ideas…creative ideas that spark paintings!
