The Survivor

This painting is of three zebra at a waterhole, particularly the stallion in the front, as a youngster he survived a lion attack and the resulting scars on the hip have healed well. He is now a big, strong, healthy stallion, a bit more wary than his fellows and sporting two stripes that didn’t quite match up when they healed.
